Changing the USB Connector to the SoftAP

Since i cant connect my usb connector to my homebrew apps, ive been thinking of using the guide provided.

but im just wondering will it affect the usb connector in any way. will both my wii and ds still be able to connect at the same time. also if i uninstall the offical connection tool, would i be able to install and use it again if i wanted to.

there is a guide at top of page, im just asking that can i use it as the regular usb connector with the normal reg tool thing if i wanted to, after i change it.
