i finally got my dvd burner to work, but it takes 4 takes just to burn 1 dvd, because of this error. i've used my bad quality Imation disc's and have gotten the same amount of burns and fails as my good quality Verbatim disc's. i use nero burning rom to burn, and i'd like to know if anyone knows how to fix this because it's extremely frustrating. here is one of the logs i saved:

Jake,
I think you have posted in another thread a while ago, and probably were suggested to get more RAM:

Quote:
Physical memory : 238MB (244464kB)
Free physical memory: 97MB (99812kB)
238MB not nearly enough. You could try ImgBurn, maybe it requires less RAM, however, you need to install another at least 200MB or so.

apparently so. see my other computer in my house is the same exact model and has an extra 512 mb of ram, but they won't let me put my dvd burner in their computer because i have my own, and i bought the same exact model as the one my other computer has and they sent me a different product, but said because it was on sale i can't get a refund.

If they didnt send you the item you ordered the they HAVE to replace it, it's their fault.
