GBA to DS game linkage (M3 Real)

Is it possible, for example, to have Pokemon Firered ROM and a Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, and make it so the DS thinks that they are linked (like you would with the actual carts)?

This is for an M3 Real with GBA expansion pack, and the only thing I've read of up to this point is a Game Manager that may let you link them. Anyone have any idea's?
