R4 and M3 Simply Browser Confusion

On Scorpei's website on compatability, it says that the R4 can run the NDS Opera Browser with no slot-2. The M3 Simply Scorpei's website says that it needs a slot-2. The M3 Simply and the R4 are the same product, how can one of them add ram? i thought that ram can only be transported threw a slot 2? HELP PLZ
