I'm looking to convert my DVD's to H.264 for use on my Archos 605 Portable media player. Which supports 800x480 Resolution. The thing is i also want to play in back in DVD quality on my 46"LCD TV. So i dont want to lose alot of quality if any. I have been using nero recode 2 it seems ok. I'm looking for bitrate settings and whatever other settings i need to keep DVD quality video. I dont have to use Nero recode 2if anyone has another good program. Thanks much.

Avidemux supports H.264(x.264) encoding.
