help me pls the.. other utorrent was working fine. a bit slow but now its suuuper slow. it would not go above 0.6kB/s download and upload speed. i checked the port and it says its ok. i also followed afterdawn guide on utorrent but nothing changes.
If you have a firewall installed allow your BT client full access to the network. How to do this depends on what firewall you are using, information on how to do this will be on your manufacturers website. If you need more help, ask on their forums.
Windows firewall has no outbound protection and is inferior to most newer solutions.
*Step 3*
Download well seeded torrents. Seeds are people who have the full file and are distributing it, leeches/peers are people who are acquiring the file - the more leeches the slower the download speed (the seed can only upload x amount at a time.) The greater the upload & download speed of the seed, the faster data can be transferred.
A torrent with 100 seeds and 500 peers will go very slow (more people trying to download the file than share it) meaning less data can be uploaded to you. A torrent with 200 seeds and 10 leech's will go very fast; the seed can upload more to people when there is less to share between. Tell us how many seeds and leeches are on your torrent.
*Step 4*
If you have Windows Service Pack 2 installed, you'll need this:
Windows will prompt you with a pop up telling you system files are being altered which you can ignore & cancel. Your Anti Virus may alert you telling you this patch is a virus, ignore this too.
*Step 5*
If speeds are still crawling, it's possible your ISP is capping your download, if this is the case: call them. Ask them how they feel about Peer to Peer file sharing programs and whether they place any caps. Some recommended reading on this matter lies here.

That's OK. Don't worry about that bit. Move onto the other parts of testing.
