So i purchased Nero 8 and an HD video camera (Sanyo Xacti HD700).
The video camera outputs .mp4 video files at 720p.
When I take the files off of the camera and drag them into Nero Vision, it converts them and adds them to the project. The settings are for "Automatic-Fit to Disc", im using a dual layer dvd for a 100MB .mp4 file so that has to be enough room.
It creates the disc fine.
I also have a ps3, and that plays the raw .mp4 files.
When comparing the DVD created from Nero to the raw files played on the Ps3, the PS3 looks like pure HD while the other doesnt.
Both the Ps3 and DVD player are going into my TV via HDMI, same type of cable.
Is there a better way of converting these .mp4 so I can burn them to DVD?
Well, I always use 2-pass encoding with DVD Flick(I would like to use NeroVision, but it is a pain to add subtitles with Vision, and they would be embedded). It is slower, but it makes a difference.
Well, I played with the settings and I don't know if it will allow higher that 8000kbit/s for a regular DVD. If it will be played on a PS3, make a AVCHD instead, which I think it can be played on a PS3), and keep the HD resolution/bitrate.
