As far as the editing, I can do it with the simple DVDshrink editor---edit the DVD folder to individual ac3 song length then make a new dvd folder (with still pics to limit size) and then demux the ac3 5.1 stream out, correct delay, etc. That's easy enough. But I was wondering if there was any software that would merge the individual 5.1 files into one ac3 5.1 file (for a DVD slideshow 5.1 music track)? I'm trying to keep all the files 5.1 and not either downmix or strip them to 2.0 (or transcode to wav). It would be nice if it could normalize the AC3 5.1 as well, but that's not a major problem as they all seem close. btw, I'm guessing that if I make a title compilation of the individual folders with DVDshrink, I'll end up with several AC3 tracks instead of one single AC3 track like I need to remux with m2v of the slideshow. Also, I guess i've got a DVD slideshow made with DVDflick but I think I added a compilation wav (made to the length of the m2v with audacity), which came out as ac3 2.0, but DVDflick will also do 5.1, I see. Should've known DVDflick added the 3 individual ac3s as 0,1,2 from the start, instead of one after the other even though there was enough room on the short m2v test sample. In any event, I just wondered if there was a way to merge ac3 5.1 individual songs into 1 single AC3 5.1 file sort of like Audacity can do with wavs, thx.
