let me explain my problem. I'm currently in need of some software that will let me rip dvds to avi format quickly. Up till now i've been using magic dvd ripper. I've tried multiple different copies and versions from different sources, and they all stop working after a few uses. So i've pretty much given up on that.
i then came here and read about dvd fab and autoGK. they both work, but auto GK takes waaaay too long to convert the files. dvd fab is awesome though, it takes on average like 30 mins to rip the dvds.
so my real question is: are there any other programs out there that will rip and convert in the time magic dvd ripper can (like 1h 30m - 2h)
or
is there a program that will convert my vob / ifo files to avi in less than an 1h - 1h 30m?
UPDATE: i tried AOA dvd ripper and although it does everything i need it to it still takes over 3h 30m, and thats on a PC with a quad core and 2G of DDR2 Ram...
First, you need to use a decrypter to rip the movies to your HDD, unless they are not protected. then you can use AllToAvi to convert, or Avidemux (it supports multithreading).
