I have Nero 6 and everything worked fine before i updated my drive. I just updated so that it can be more compatible and less likely to have failed disk writes. This is my first time updating it. I got the update from the manufacturers website: http://us.liteonit.com/us/index.php?opti...per&Itemid=153.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? I think once I have updated it i cant make it go back to the previous firmware? I just bought a 50 pack dvd-r and really want to fix this so that i can burn again. thanks.

The error shows right after caching, it doesn't even start burning. Here's the log:

these are horrible discs and more than likely will be the cause of the error....you may find a few good ones in the spindle of 50 you have but then on the other hand you may be lucky and find quite a few good ones....they are very hit and miss.

Oh that one was the HP DVD-R, I also tried Verbatim DVD-R MIT and the error still comes up. I dont think its the dvd-r disks that causing it. i think the firmware messed it up but i dont know how to fix it.

Set you burner drive as a master instead of a slave.

If it doesn't fix it, go back to an older firmware.
