im having trouble getting the media to burn at a slower rate than 16 x after i encode a dvd, any suggestions
Q's
1) what is the best type of blank media to use
2) I went to change drive speed on nero and lowered it to 8x but after im done encoding it still burns at 16x, how do i change that
3)Does burn speed affect quality of disc, or is it just the time it takes to burn??
Thanks

1. Verbatim and Taiyo Yudens
2. Usually I saved my video to hard drive first and then burn onto a dvd. Not sure ehy Nero would change the speed.
3. Burn half the speed of your disc.

Tbone8989,
You have to set the burn speed you want each time when using Nero. Slower speed burn may give you your best chance for a higher quality disc, with lower error rates.

Like Pryme_H advised you, the burn speed needs to be set before each burn, after you insert the media in your burner.Nero Drive Speed does not set the burn speed:
