I have several ripped DVD that were ripped using dvdfab hd dycrypter. I have been using DVD Shrink to burn them to disc. Will imgburn burn these to disc better than Shrink? Or is Shrink just as good?

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. - Jules Winfield

First off, Shrink does not burn. You might have Nero or DVD Decrypter doing the actual burning. Either way, Imgburn is the best program to create ISO files and for burning DVD's or CD's.

vexture,

DVD Shrink is neither a burner nor does it contain a built-in burn engine. It can, however, pass the burning job to Nero as long as you have it installed in your PC. The guide on how to properly burn a DVD folder can be found here.

You must have Shrink set to autoburn with Nero or Decrypter. Shrink's main function is to compress or transcode a DVD9 size file to fit a DVD5 blank disc.

As far as ImgBurn goes...it's the best burning engine out there. Very recently updated too.

BTW - love the siggie, except for the fact that is not in the Bible. You should attribute it to Jules Winfield!

You actually have to have a special version of DVD Shrink that will call up Imgburn in order to autoburn with it...here is the link to that version.

So why hasn't ImgBurn been set up so it can turn around and burn the ISO the first DVD drive built, onto the second DVD drive?? It would then be the perfect one button start to finish program for SL and DL discs not requiring transcoding. It would build the ISO and immediately burn it, especially sweet for DL backups. Used in combination with AnyDVD.

Between you and me garmoon, I don't think LUK actually wants everyone to know that this little diddy is possible due to his previous ventures into the court system.

But if you are in read mode and tick the "Add To Write Queue When Done" option then it will do just that...not really a one click solution, but it's easy peasy all the same eh?

@IHOE

I haven't been around much myself lately...just got back from your neck of the woods, a week at DisneyWorld and I'm tapped.

@LOCO Thanks for the tip. I can't imagine why it would be against the law. It's not circumventing copy protection-that's AnyDVD's job.I'll try it.

I agree garmoon, but I just don't think he wants it associated with anything that can be used to rip.

LMAO, it's no secret though...I just wouldn't go advertising the fact. Anyone who knows about the two programs should be able to put two and three together and get seven. D'oh
