Play games from torrents on 2.6 PSP

Hi:
I'm having a 2.6 Ver PSP. I've downloaded few games from torrents which are in ISO format.
Can anybody provide me pointers on how to play these.
I am a newbie and your patient help is really appreciated.
I found out that I am on official firmware and needs to downgrade it to 1.5 and load some custom firmware....
Pls provide me the steps on how to do that.
Appreciate your help in advance.

luckily for you there is a 2.71 software downgrader (google for 2.71 corruption free downgrader) which will do the job for you
you will need to upgrade to 2.71 frist by finding the 2.71 EBOOT and placing it in GAME/UPDATE
dl.qj.net is a good place to start looking
1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

Thanks for the quick response.
I just found out the below link from sticky that I need to upgrade to 2.71 and then should come back to 1.5

What would be the next step? It doesn't say anything about how to play iso's.
Let me reiterate the steps.
1) Upgrade to 2.71 using 2.71 Updater
2) Downgrade to 1.5 using the files from that link
3) ??? (No idea after Step 2)...Do I need to load any other application???
Pls let me know.

After you've got to custom firmware, all you have to do to play your ISOs and CSOs is to place them in ms0:/ISO and load them straight from the Game menu.

Thanks a bunch for your timely help and response.
I updated to 2.71 and tried to downgrade to 1.5 but cannot access the generic downgrade files from below:

If anybody have a clean copy of the above file or knows any alternate locaction, that's much appreciated
I've read from one of the sticky's that after I downgrade to 1.5, I should be able to install DevHook and will be able to run ISO's.
The above link says installing some custom firmware.. I'm really confused..
Can somebody clarify for me pls...

hi do u have gta liberty city unpatched if u do follow this
1st : go here 3.03 easy up http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1041 follow read me inside
2nd :go here 3.03 easy down http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1042 follow read me inside
ok first use the 3.03 easy up connect ur psp to ur computer follow the instructions on screen.
after u have use the 3.03 easy up go into ur system settings and system info and u should have 3.03 HEN
if u do use the easy down
after that u will be at 1.50 to see if u are go into ur system settings and system info and u should have 1.50
now go here and follow all instructions

I dont have GTA unpatched and hence that left looking for 2.71 downgrader.. Couldnt find a clean file over web.
After I downgrade to 1.5, I realized from the linky that this should be the flow..
2.71 >> 1.5 >> 3.52 CFW >> 3.52m33-4 >> 3.71m33 >> install 1.5 Kernel Patch >> 3.71m33-2 update >> 3.71m33-3 update >> 3.71m33-4 update >>
Pls let me know if my understanding is correct.
I'm still looking for the 2.71-1.5 downgrader file.. If anybody has it, can you pls share it...

Thanks for the alternate link.
Which of the following list do I need to pick up?
Is it Generic 2.71 Downgrader / Downdater 2.71 ??

I used the downgrader not the downdater.
