I am currently expeirencing incredibly slow bittorrent download speeds.(I know, whats new) I have read every thread out there about slow bittorent speeds. I have reconfigured my router, my ports are open, no firewall or anything. I have done everything, but still i only get about 10-30 kB/s. Would a third party firmware help this problem?

I have cable with a motorola SB 4200 modem, a linksys wrt54g v.6 1.02.2 wired connection to vista. any input would help.

Third party firmware for what? Installing "uncapped" firmware in your Motorola Surfboard will be in breach of your service agreement and also illegal.

Have you tried a direct connection avoiding the router? Are you sure your ISP is not throttling torrent transfers?
