i ripped vobs for toy story 2 but no ifo/bup files to hard drive before i learned how to burn dvdr properly. is there any way to create new ifos so that it will work in my standalone dvd player.

Go here: http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/index.html and get VobEdit.

Open up the 1st VOB of the movie set in VobEdit. Click the Demux button. Select the MPEG stream for the video. Make sure to check the "Demux the complete title set" box. Click OK and it will create the .m2v file containing the video from the movie.

Do the same procedure for the audio stream and it will create the .ac3 file containing the audio from the movie.

Then use your favorite authoring program (SpruceUp, etc) and create your new DVD. You will have to add the chapter points manually, of course.

It really depends on the DVD authoring software that you are using. I have only used SpruceUp so far. For SpruceUp, you double-click on the video file and add them there.

You don't HAVE to add the chapters, but if you don't then you won't be able to easily skip to certain points of the movie. You will have to rely on fast foward.

Go to http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/index.html and download Ifoedit; load it and use 'Create Ifos' to get your Ifos. Once you have ifo files use the 'vob extras' menu to adjust your movie.
