i am running a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Brisbane 2.6GHz Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Black Edition Processor, i have read and been told that it can overclock to about 3.2 ghz, now when i go into my bios i have an overclocking option, the one i am confused about is clock cycles, can someone please explain this to me.

i am not sure what that option does but i can tell you how to overclock. first under power settings in the bios turn off amd cool and quite to help with stability. then in the overclock section find the fsb. raise this by 5-10 then restarrt you computer and check it out with cpu z and run prime 95 for 15 minutes to check stability.. keep raising the fsb until there are problems. then you should lower the fsb back down. after that you will have to mess with voltages.
