PAL PSX games on PSP?

I haven't used my PSP for PSX games for a while now and when I last used it with them, I couldn't play it with PAL games as the screen ratio was incorrect. Has this been fully rectified yet or do PAL PSX games still not play the same as NTSC PSX games?

well ... mine PAL games work fine. 3.90 M33 firmware

I'm on 3.90 M33-2 and I put Abe's Oddysee PAL on it and it is not full screen and the image is pushed more to the top of the screen??? I used PSGUI300BETA and I checked the pal 2ntsc box. What program do you use to convert psx to psp?
