problems writing anytype of disc

Im using nero 7, i have attempted to burn audio discs, data discs and nothing wants to burn. When it starts to burn the buffer level just stays at 0 and it says the burner restarted and then burn failed. This is driving me crazy, I just did a clean install of xpsp2 and its still not working. Here is my log.

update nero to at least 7.8.5.0 or higher
your DMA is off you need to get the drives back in DMA mode. uninstall the IDE controllers in device manager reboot and let windows reinstall them correctly
Use better blank media then memorex, Sony, Fujifilm ,Taiyo Yuden ,Verbatim etc.
use nero express to do a CD reading the file to the HDD first then burning, don't burn on the fly. I burn CD-Rs at 16x max
imgburn is freeware that now burns audio CDs
make sure you have the most up to date firmware for your drive/burner

Thanks for the quick response. The DMA fixed the problem. Thanks for the other tips also, i am downloading the update and never buying memorex again. And Zeppelin is one of the all time best bands.
