I currently use DVD Shrink to rip my DVDs to HDD. I typically remove all the menus and extras so I only have the movie with one sound track.

I hate all the warnings and previews, and love when I select a movie (vista -> my movies) TheaterTek starts right up and plays.

BUT... the wife wants the menus... without the warnings and previews.

I don't know how to do this... DVDShrink let's me re-author the DVD to get rid of the extras and warnings.. but also removes the menus. If I keep the menus, I also get the extras and previews.

Is there anyway to just get video, audio, and menus, but take out the previews?

Two requirements for any solution...
1. it must work with Vista -> My Movies -> TheaterTek -> FFDShow.
2. it must not compress the video or audio... I don't want to sacrifice quality.

Hi

1) Rip to HDD with Anydvd or DVDFabHD
2) Use Vob Blanker to rid of unwanteds
3) There you go ( menu and movie )

As for your requirements, I believe the solution provided will work, but hey, you get what you pay for.

Some compression will be neccessary to fit a DVD9 movie on a DVD5 blank disc.

You can either burn using a Dual Layer disc.

Or learn the art of Dvd Rebuilder.

My apologies if i misunderstood your intentions.

Compression is not neccessary if you're just piling them on your HDD, which you're right, are fairly inexpspensive these days.

Then just take the sagely advice of iluvendo as he is right on the money!

You can try the Roxio DVD copier 10, it can let user select chapter and title, and you can unselected the warning chapter for rip.Or you can try Riverpast's DVD quick rip trial version, it is full function, and it has same function.

good luck.
