Network cut off while sharing files over LAN

when i try and copy files from my brothers wireless pc to my wireless pc through infastructure, the network keeps cutting off on my computer and it says the source isn't available anymore. then i have to type the wpa code in again to reconnect to the network. he can copy files from my computer fine. does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

OK how is your wirless set up.

Is big (roughly) is the space between you pc and the wireless router?

Is there any wireless home phones within the space between your computer and the router?

How old is your wireless dongle or Pc card if using one.

Please post what router, Pc cards an dongles you are using. (Make and model)

ok. my adsl modem is plugged into the dlink 524 router. i have one computer plugged in by cable and two others including mine on the wireless. the icon down the bottom says im getting very good reception. this is the same for both computers. this problem wasn't always happening. it has started happening recently. we have wireless phones but the wireless has always worked fine when we've had them. my computer is custom built and i built it a year ago. my other wireless computer was built at christmas. i have the gigabyte GN-WP01GT wireless pci card. the other one is another brand im not sure what though.

OK

Did you installed any new programs just before this problem started?
If so try removing them and see if the problem corrects its self.

Also try a system restore (Not a system format)
to an earlier point when you didn't have this problem.

Resetting your router and re-installing drivers may help if the above to ideas don't.
