hey, i just bought a new philips dvd rw drive with lightscribe, but i dont know how to use it?? Can anyone help me with this, no clue ive tried for hours to figure it out. I installed nero 7 essentials but see nothing about lightscribe on it

Usually if you have a lightscribe disc you just flip it over and the app will start by itself. Also I think Nero has design software for lightscribe.

Did you install the drive with the drivers provided by Phillips?
Was Nero installed before or after you install the drive?

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it

yea i installed the drivers and the software that gwendolin gave me a link too. Can i buy prinatble dvdrs or do they have to be a special lightcribe dvdr ??

They have to be lightscribe media, printable works differently.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it

ok, i bought a bunch of hp lightscribe dvd +rs and use lightscribe template maker. I imported a picture of the dvd i wanted and printed it, IT LOOKED TERRIBLE. I thought this was supposed to be new better technology. Im problable going to go out and buy a printer that can print on dvd +rs now. Am i doing something wrong or is lightscribe really that bad??????????

Advice would be appreciated

I don't use lightscribe..takes too long and discs are expensive. I use a Canon Pixma printer and use Verbatim ink jet printable discs....I get my covers from here http://www.cdcovers.cc
