I have 2 different card readers and when I plug any of them into the USB port it installs ok and says ready to use , but when I try access the removable drive :F it gives a message , "Please insert disk in drive F" , I cant format , open or access the 2GB micro SD card at all , But when I try my different 1GB Card with all my games on it I can view , delete them no problem

Any advice is greatly accepted :)

BTW , I am using XP , tryed both from PC and Laptop

Download the HP USB Format Tool found here and see if that can format your card. It has saved me a few times from similar problems.

Still no luck , I got a loan of a 512MB card and the USB Reader works no problem with that and my 1GB card , but as soon as I insert the 2GB card I cant see it in the Format Tool program or in My Computer , its like the 2GB card is not inserted / readable in the USB Reader etc

I went to a friends house and tryed it with Vista and still nothing , the USB Reader shows up when plugged in but as soon as I insert the 2GB card it disappears from "My Computer"

Any more ideas before I return it to the supplier please :)

do you have a phone that has a microSD slot? i had to format a microSD via moto q9c because my desktop card reader wouldn't read the card; the memory card slot light would light up, but then dim out. after the format on the phone, the desktop card reader recognized the card; light stays on.
