Hello.

I have a problem ripping. I use Nero 7, AnyDVD and DVDFab.
When using any of these programs the ripping stops at about 20%. No message, just not progressing. This allso when trying to rip to harddrive directly from AnyDVD.
When copying from exporer to new forlder I get a message after a while that it´s not able to read from the source.

Never had this problem before. And the dvd plays as it should.

Any ideas?

PS. AnyDVD and DVDFab are latest version.

Sincerely
Ronsy

It would help if you say what movie are you trying to backup.
It sound like it is one of the new once.
Try DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD (latest version) in background.

if you are using the latest versions of AnyDVD and DVDFab HD Decrypter then you should have no problems. What makes me wonder is the NO ERROR MESSAGEs that you don't get! If there was a problem with the DVD movie and these programs are having problems then an error message would appear! the absence of this makes me wonder if there is something wrong with the DVD itself. Many other things could be wrong, too. But without more information or error logs or error messages we can only guess. More information is necessary.+

you say you are using the latest version of these programs.... what version do you have? and what movie are you trying to do?

The movie is "Back to the future II".
AnyDVD 6.3.1.5
DVDFab 3.2.1-0

As I said, I got an error message when trying to copy the files in Windows Explorer but when using Nero or DVDfab the progress just stopped. In Nero the preview allso froze during analyzing the movie.

Should I give it some more time to see what happens? It stood still for a minute or two before I canselled.

Sincerely
Ronsy

Just in case you are, AnyDVD and DVDFab shouldn't be running at the same time; there's no reason for this old (but excellent) movie to be ripped with just DVD Shrink on it's lonesome, but DVDFab should do it just as easily. I don't use AnyDVD but that would do it also (ie because even DVD Shrink can handle this movie fine). Make sure the disc is clean ie free of smudges/scratches

both AnyDVD and/or DVDFab should have no problem with such an old movie. As Creaky said...... make sure the DVD is clean and free of scratches or smudges
