Okay so I know you need the GBA Expansion Pack to play GBA roms, use the Internet browser, and make save states.

But I have not clearly seen if you need a Slot 2 pack in order to run the NES and SNES emulators/ROMs. I have seen videos on YouTube discussing how to install Moonshell and run SNES games on just an R4. No Slot 2. At least that's what I derive from the information given.

So which is it, I know the M# Real is capabale of running "homebrew" by itself. Will I be able to run/save my NES and SNES roms and emulators?

you just need your m3 real slot 1 card, put the emulator you need on the micro sd card, (ds scene) try this site, the download section. then out the roms on your card. this should be ok to run the roms.

Hmm, I'm not sure that completely answers my questions. Was I completely correct in everythin I said about being able to run NES and SNES roms with just the M3 Real? And will I be able to save games?

The box says that the real can run those roms with no extra software needed, i have tried and i couldnt see anyway to boot them without the appropriate homebrew. You dont need the gba expansion pak to run most homebrew this includes homebrew to run snes roms. It is like the cyclo and r4 you just need the slot 1 device itself, only a handfull of homebrew needs the slot 2 device, is this answer what your looking for, if not let me know.

ps you are able to also save these snes etc roms but you need the homebrew to run them. if you have trouble finding them i would be happy to mail them to you.
regards
