When i turn the pc on i get this message "DISK BOOT FAILURE - INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" what system disk im i suppose to enter? before this message i have the option of F2 setup or F10 system Recovery. nothing happens when i press F10. F2 works tho.

It sounds like you have a bad hard drive. Most likely you'll have to install a new hard drive and reinstall windows. If you don't have the recovery discs, then you'll have to follow the steps on HP's website to order new discs (link here).

Of course, you should test the existing hard drive first. If you have a working computer, you can simply try connecting the hard drive as a slave and see if you can access it. You should also check the BIOS and see if it recognizes the hard drive. Finally, as I've seen this happen before, make sure you don't have a floppy disc inserted in the floppy drive that your computer is trying to boot from, as you would receive this same error.
