Intel Application Accelerator conflicts with dvdfab or ripping in general? Anybody knows?

I've been having problem for a couple months couldn't get dvdfab (platinum or free) to read the discs. I tried to use other ripping tools like anydvd, dvdclone, xilisoft and a couple others but still having problem. They kept giving me read errors doesn't matter new dvds or the ones I burned (only a couple time anydvd successfully ripped movies) I did reasearch and google (alot of them!!) finally last night I found out that it got to do with the DMA settings and as I tried to set it, the Advanced Settings tab was not there in the primary or secondary ide channel. Upon more googling, I found out once I installed Intel Application Accelerator a few months back the settings are not an option.I tried to change the DMA setting through it but still couldn't rip dvds. I finally decided to uninstall IAA and reset the DMA settting and voila! Now I can ripped all the movies that I couldn't before. Is there anybody out there know how to make both IAA and the rippers work together? I like the IAA because it did gave my pc a little more speed but I couldn't rip movies. It woould be nice if both can work together as a happy family and I would be happy too!! Thanks in advanced for your input..
