Hi

Question: I have a Nero 6 software, I was trying to burn a cd from the
pc to the cd, I put a CD in and got a message saying: there is not enough space to burn this compilation onto disc and it gives this information: data to be written 1,501mb and space available on the dis is 715, my question can I fix this in a easy way? Please give advice for
dummies.

Thanks
Sylvia

sylviatho,

In essence, you are putting more data than a regular writeable CD can hold. If you are burning an Audio CD, choose to burn a Data CD instead to enable you to put more audio files in the CD. Otherwise, you shall need a blank DVD media for this project. I hope I understood you correctly.

Thank you so much...... I did it!!!. and it's playing... WOW"

Please help me again. I have a meeting at the end of this month. I purchased a digital recorder, had problem downloading info from the recorder to the pc, finally I did it, don't ask how, and added it to the play list, but I couldn't get it to burn to the cd or to make a audio cd, because of to much infor, so I took the recorder back to the store. now that you have walk me thru this situation. The meeting will be Five hours long (audio)I would like to buy the digital recorder again and record all of the Five hours of meeting, there will be breaks, but the meeting in total is Five hours. Now my question is: will this be to much information to burn to the cd, can I still do the data burn or do I need to do something else for the cd to hold that much information, I was using a cassette player but I could'nt pass the meetings on to anybody else to listen to without giving them my original copy of the cassettes. Thanking you in advance for any help you can provide.

Thankks

Before all else, make certain that your drive can burn DVDs. With a duration of 5 hours, you'll need a DVD+R or DVD-R; use Verbatim as they've been proven to be dependable. This time around, burn the compilation as a Data DVD. Good luck!

Thanks again, and "yes" the Nero StartSmart comes with a DVD and I see the Dvd Data part of it, I'll re-buy the digital recorder and test it out again. Will this make an audio CD once burned to the DVD? You may have coved this but I didn't see it in the above notes, this is the most important part as I didn't know that you could use the DVD to make an audio CD out of an DVD.

Thanks.

What format (.wav, .mp3, .ogg etc...) are these audio files in? Is this going to be presented under a MS Powerpoint or are they just strictly audio?

I don't understand (.wav,.mp3,.ogg etc..)I know what mp3 is, at any rate, this will be strictly audio. A Five hour or a little more than Five hours of talks, by different speakers, I will record them with the digital recorder and I want to download the talks to the pc and burn them on cd.

Thanks

Disregard the geek speak :) I asked to make sure you won't encounter any playback problems during your presentation. In any case, proceed with burning the project onto a blank DVD as previously stated. Also, don't forget to examine the burned disc for proper playback in your personal computer, and the one you will be using for this presentation prior to the meeting. Break a leg!

On PC, ascertain that you have a DVD-Rom or DVD-RW drive. A CD-Rom or CD-RW drive will not play a DVD media. Look for the DVD-Rom symbol on the face of the drive.

You can split the data into several CDs if you want.

Again, in Nero elect to burn a Data CD. Next, simply add the data to be written; pay close attention to the bar down below. A red bar is an indication that you have exceeded the allowable amount of data that can be written onto a blank CD. Now, just cycle through this picking up where you left off.
