ok so my girl just got comcast high speed but theres a prob no cpu so i dig up an old compaq and decide to put vista on it for her so what i did was i used my cpu to do it so i took the compaq hdd and put it in my mpc so i have my master drive and i set hers to slave and i did a partion install it went smooth the cpu restarted and asked me which windows would i like 2run "older version or vista" so i select vista to check it out and its good so i take the hdd out and put my other hdd back in and i get this error "disk drive error ctrl alt del to restart" but i can run it with jus my master hdd in and when i do that it still asks me which os to run by selecting the older version of windows im able to log on but i cant with my other hdd in so what my ? is is how can i take off the dual os boot screen so i can use both of my hdd any help thanx....by the way the compaq didnt even have enough ram to run vista lol

I'm not so good with them myself.jadariipa is asking for help with the pc not English.

Personally i would disconnect all HD and boot the pc it will ask for bootable drive.Then shut down and install first drive with os on once you are in os shut down and install second drive.Choose first os to boot from if asked once your bios as excepted both drives you should be able to boot from either.

Indeed, it just sounds like you need to change the boot order priority in the BIOS, which is usually accessed by pressing delete at the first screen you see when you turn on the PC.

Zer0ink, criticising people on the quality of their posts is frowned upon, necessary if you genuinely can't understand them, but at least answer their question as well. Don't just prey on the people who didn't bother to structure their posts properly, you won't make friends that way! :)

thanks for the responses ive tried that john but its not even recognizing the hd now it finally boots up but its says not initialized in my computer ive tried all the programs ,partion manager everything nothing can bring it back to life and when i try to install a os on it it isnt being recognized so i guess it just went on home lol and in the bios only my primary hd shows up so...thanks again but any other suggestions ??
