Why Japanese Kingston MicroSD?

I think I have read before that the Japanese made Kingston MicroSD cards are faster.. Is this really true? I am looking to buy a CycloDS and saw that Walmart sells 2gig Kingston MicroSD cards pretty cheap but I'm sure they are not the Japanese version. Would they still work ok? If so, would I see a noticeable difference in load time?

I'm a bit confused as to this topic too. I bought a 4GB A-Data microSDHC card. It class 6 and made in Taiwan, but its still fast.
