at least thats what hes trying to say.
I burnt a single file (.divx) into a cd, my dvd plays it ok, i burnt a cd last night, my car stereo plays it well.
But now im trying to make a back up of a dvd movie, I use drink and anydvd, I have the dvd files I need, when I try to burn the copy it wrecks the dvd and spit it!
here is the log says. (Im using Memorex dvd-r and burning at 4x, Nero 7.2.0.3) also its not the first time I do this.
The first time i tried using dvd shrink to burn the copy and it didnt work, next I tried nero itself, and nothing.

well for one thing you are using cheep media memosux, and you are trying to make a copy of a movie right? i was reading your log that you posted and it is telling me that you have a cd in the burner not a dvd-r, so put a dvd-r in and try again this is what i seen! Compilation cannot be written on that medium type.
(Medium in drive: CD-R. Medium required by compilation: DVD R/RW, DVD R DL.)

It was the hard drive, for some reason the dvd files get messed up on the partition(hard drive too..) i put them.
I inserted the dvd (shrink) and drink sent the files to my documents..(old hard drive) and it works.

yuor nero is located on D:\
some apps call on C: is yuor old hard rive C: ?
also glad it worked with thias on your system File 'Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS':
your one of the lucky ones or you manged to get round that conflict in nero by usein d: drive for install and C: for useage/project files
