You can post a Nero history log so we can take a look, located here
Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt
Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory
VISTA: ?. Desktop/Your Comp Name/App Data/Roaming/Ahead/Nero History
History logs for versions 7.10.1.0 onwards are located here...probably hidden files
C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Ahead
Open Windows Explorer, go to Tools->Folder Options->View, and Check "Show Hidden Files and Folders"

Your drive is old, I know I have one. The max speed is 4x and that is what I have always burned at. The last fw for this drive is 1.0C. If you post the whole log it would be beneficial to see just what version you have. Because of the age of this drive it does not recognize much of the newer media. It will burn Verbatim but not much else. It does burn TY.
Edit: I also agree with Rotary, for iso use imgburn it is much better for that file format.

Quote: If you receive the "Power calibration error" or "Power calibration area is (amost) full" error message, the cause will be either poor media, poor power, or a defective recorder.
Please try the following solutions:
Update the firmware of your recorder. Please check the manufacturer's website for the latest version.
Try another brand of CD-R or CD-RW media.
Try different power connectors, and for recorders, do not share power with other devices. It needs its own power connector. If the error occurs with an external recorder, the power source in the chassis could be the cause. As a test, try to take the recorder out of the external chassis and connect it internal.
Try different configurations, such as taking the CD-ROM to the primary IDE bus as slave and have only the recorder connected to the secondary IDE bus as master.
Send the recorder in for service."

Here is link to RPC firmware update page for this drive.
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1517
Considering you are working on original fw for this drive I am surprised it burns anything. This drive is at least five years old. Flashing a drive is always a risk, however the drive will become unusable anyway as it will not recognize media at all pretty soon. As I stated I have the last version 1.0C and it will burn Verbatim and TY. It will burn well at the max of 4x, it does better at this speed than at the 2x. Burning at 2x is to slow for todays media. The drive has never had a problem with TY. You can try it again at 4x if you have the same problems then flash or just think about a replacement.
