Hey guys, im having some touble trying to burn movies i have downloaded to DVD's. I burnt some stuff successfully with Roxio a while ago but Roxio wont convert AVI files to DVD's. So i bought Nero 7, the problem im having is that i get glitches after ive burnt the disc no matter what im playing it back with. It looks like it loads every2-3 seconds so it freezes for a split second throughout the whole DVD. So i thought it was Nero's problem so i trialed a couple other softwares (Xilisoft and Super DVD creator) but its still happening. Someone at work suggested to decrease the write speed so i went down to 6x but still no luck. Im beggining to think maybe its something to do with the computer as its happened on 3 versions of software and about 10 DVD-R's and a couple +R's.



Im just making coasters out of these discs at the moment lol. It just freezes every 2-3 seconds for a split second and now that i have seen it, its so annoying. I have tried playing back the DVD thorugh the Dell, my Xbox and my DVD player but its still the same. If anyone could shed any light on what the problem may be that would be greatly apperciated.

What brand of disk's are you using? Cheap brand usually is the problem

Ive got to go to bed now but if anyone can suggest something in the mean time i will check up tomorrow at work.

Is the firmware on your burner up to date, and have you tried backing up a regular DVD to see if you have this problem? It may just be the files you are using.

Hmm i will see if i can check the firmware of the drive. I will also see if i can create an image of a Bought DVD on my HDD and copy to a DVD. I have quite a good copy of resident evil that i downloaded that is extremely better than other movies i have. I will see if i can try that.
