Hey
I have recently got an R4 card, which someone set up for me. I copied a load of games to it which all worked well. I then went to add some more and it said there wasn't enough free space. I removed a few but it still said there wasn't enough free space so I took everything off - problem is now I can't put anything back on as it's still saying there is not enough free space! What do I do?

It is being recognized so try doing a format (FAT16 will do). Then load up the latest firmare, followed by adding the games.

Sorry, what do you mean by format?
The card is totally clear so I tried to put the moonshi folders etc back on and it still says there isn't enough free space.

first how big is your memory card ie. 1 or 2 gb.
to format your memory card right click on the memory card and select format ( fat 16 or 32 is ok ).
then go here for the latest files needed for the r4ds - http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=2030
once downloaded unrar it and put the 2 folders and 2 files onto your memory card .
then put your games back on ( make sure your games are .nds files ) and play .
any more probs let me know , woof811.

Depending on what PC and OS that you used to remove the files, the space will not be freed until you empty the recycle bin.
Try that and you should have reclaimed the space.

The format is the file system (method) used to organize and store computer files.

Hi, I'm really sorry but this is all totally new to me.
The card is 2gb and I have a mac so right click doesn't work. I haven't been able to work out how to format it.

I found this on yahoo answers.
Looks like you need to go to:
-Applications
-Utilities
-Disk Utilities, then format to 'MSDOS'

Sorry to be a pain :-)
I know I probably sound really stupid but how do you set up your DS to play other people?
Also, can you still connect with other Ds's if the games are on a R4 card?
Thanks again

Usually there is some 'multiplayer' option in the main menu. Should let you choose download play (multiple players with one game cart), or multiplayer (everyone has a game cart).
-Download play is almost always limited version of multiplayer (eg. limited maps, characters, or items)
-Full multiplayer (nothing is limited)
So if you want to play full multiplayer have all players go to choose the multiplayer option and you should link up.
For download play the person with the game cart needs to start 'download play' then everyone else needs to start up without a game cart. After which they will be prompted to choose between pictochat and download play. Select download play.
