I've read all the older threads about ripping Resident Evil 2 Apocalypse, however this is a different issue. I have successfully ripped it to my HDD, however, it did not play from Vista MCE (using My Movies 2) - it will play when opening CyberLink PowerDVD as a standalone player.
"Functional" Rips were used done with RipIt4Me (last version), but Vista MCE would not play them.
My workaround was actually pretty easy. I used the following:
AnyDVD HD 6.4.0.4 (running in the background, like normal)
Daemon Tools Lite 4.12.2 (running in the background, like normal)
ImgBurn 2.4.0.0 (to rip from DVD to ISO file)
After ripping with ImgBurn, I added the title into My Movies 2 and pointed the movie location to my ISO folder. Upon gong back to Vista Media Center, it worked just fine!
Keep in mind, I tried most of the other methods listen in the older posts and they were either way too involved (for a newbie) or simply didn't work with current versions of the software mentioned. I must have ripped this movie about 10 times with absolutely no luck getting it to play in Vista MCE. The ISO rip I mentioned above is the ONLY method I got to work.
Hopefully, this helps people who are just starting out and found themselves in the same spot I was in. :)
