First off, I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this type of question. It was the closest I could find, but if there's someplace else it belongs please feel free to move it. With that being said, onto my question.

I think the easiest way to do this is for me simply to explain what I'm trying to do, and then hopefully someone can tell me what I need to accomplish my goal. My church is doing a sermon this coming Sunday, and part of it is going be showing a couple different clips from a movie. We want to show a few different clips from various parts of the movie, and we're trying to figure out the best/smoothest way to do this. One idea we came up with, and we're hoping is possible, is to somehow rip the dvd, cut and paste the clips we want as "chapters" and then re-author just the clips we're using onto a blank dvd. That way the person in the back (me) would be able to just play the dvd all the way through and it would just show the clips, as opposed to having to try and fastforward/rewind during the sermon.

With all that being said, is this possible, and if so what would be the easiest way to go about doing it?

Thanks in advance to anyone/everyone who is able to help.

What kind of program are you running for your slides? Media Shout? Something like that?

We use PowerPoint for our slides, but the dvd would be playing through a dvd player we also have connected to our projectors. I would want to be able to edit the clips and then burn them onto a dvd that would play on a regular dvd player.

What you suggest is very possible

1) rip dvd to HDD
2) reauthor clip by clip with dvd shrink into different folders per chapter
3) create new dvd using Nero ( creat a dvd) or dvd flick
4) burn dvd of the clips
5) show at the House of the Almighty
