I backed up a disc, which plays well in the computer but not in the DVD player. Something about no structure. The original DVD is trashed. Is there a free program that can make this backup re-playable?

What are the file names of your backup? Do you still have the files on your pc?

When the backup would not play in the DVD player I reloaded it as an ISO onto the HD through DVDDecrypter with an MDS file, which VLCplayer will play but Shrink won't touch.

What files are in the ISO or better yet, put the disc in the computer. Go to My Computer and click on your dvd drive. If there's a VIDEO_TS folder, please list the files in that folder?

There are 5 files on the disc, these 2:
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO

Then 3 VOB files:
VTS_01_1
VTS_01_2
VTS_01_3

You're missing
VIDEO_TS.IFO and VIDEO_TS.BUP.
You may have to create new ifo files. This can be done with IfoEdit.

Thank you, dialysis 1, that worked very well! I wonder why 'decrypter did not make those files as it always has in the past? Must be a Disney thing.
Anyway, now I don't have to keep buying replacements when the kids ruin a disc, I can't afford that any longer.
I assume you are waiting on a kidney, all my prayers to you and thanks again.

I'm glad it worked.
No I'm not waiting for a kidney. I teach dialysis.
