I have an old CD burner that came with a version of Nero 5x, and I was able to upgrade it to the latest available 5.5. However, when I try to use the Nero 5.5 with my new TDK 420N DVD burner, I got a message saying the software can not work for any burners other than the OEM's (which is my CD burner).

Is there anyway to get around with this so that I can burn dvd with the Nero 5.5. so far I can only use the to burn the dvd image disc to HD.

I believe what your seeing is that Nero only works with the burner it came with because it came a a bundle with the burner. I have come across that issue and I got the whole program and it worked with all burners
