Hi all
Hoping somebody can help me with this. Basically every 10 mins or so I get an Azureus Updater popup saying that checking for updates on "Madatory plugins - Failed" and "Platform-specific support - Failed". Its annoying because I cancel and it just keeps popping back up interrupting whatever I'm doing? I'm on version 3.0.5.0

I have the auto update features in Azureus disabled, so I am not too sure of the answer.

I did notice when recently re-setting my software firewall exception for Azureus that there was a separate Azureus Updater in the Azureus program file folder.
Did you set an exception in your software firewall for the Azureus Updater in addition to Azureus?

You could also try downloading manually. Azureus Download.

If you want to disable the auto update features the settings are at
Tools>Options>Interface>Start for program updates
Tools>Options>Plugins>Plugin Update for plugin updates

Somewhere somehow the url it looks to for updates has become corrupted, or just possibly the servers have been down.. Mine updated perfectly 3 days ago. A friends latest 3.xxxx something.. 2 days old, doesn't have any azureus updater exception in his firewall and seems fine.

It's freeware, just uninstall and reinstall it ;) That should solve these problems.

I do have a port open on my firewall for the torrents and downloading/uploading torrents isn't a problem. I couldn't find any separate options for opening a port for updates? I don't think its that though because updates have always worked for me in the past. For now I have disabled all automatic updates as per jeffw224 suggestion, if the updates still aren't working when I go to do them manually then I'll just re-install. Thanks for your help guys
