i have a psp slim with 3.80m33-5 custom firmware and i'm wondering if i can turn it back to 3.80 official firmware. does anyone know how? any help will do. thanks,

you will need to use the universal unbricker v3 to go back to 3.71 official. then you can upgrade back to 3.80 official.

the only reason i see going back to official is to send it in to sony for repairs, or to be able to sell it at game stores.

In your case, yes-If your slim psp was running 3.71M33 or below, you would be able to run the network update from the psp menu and it will revert back to OFW.
That feature was changed upon the release of 3.80M33 though to prevent people from 'accidentially' going back to official firmware once they had custom firmware installed.

Just out of curiousity, are you looking to sell your psp? Is that why you are wanting to go back to OFW? You would actually fetch more selling the psp with the CFW already installed as opposed to having OFW. Another option would be to update to the latest offering of CFW which has the internet radio and Skype features for your slim.
