Issue with SATA samsung DL burner

I just got a new SATA Samsung SH203N DL burner for my comp and when I try to open some programs I get a stop error. I looked up the stop error and it has to do with RAID. I have 1 HDD that is also SATA connected. Would I have to set up a RAID to get the stop error to clear? When I removed the SATA port got the DVD burner the stop error cleared out. My mobo is an ABIT AT8.
