I have had a custom built PC for the last 3 years now.
3 GHz Intel Pentium 4 Processor
2 GB RAM
Radeon 9800 Pro Video Card
Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum Sound Card
2 120 GB IDE HDDs
1 500 GB SATA HDD
1 160 GB External HDD
52x CD-RW
16x DVD-RW

But 3 weeks ago my PC had stopped working and was beeping 5 times when I powered it on. I Googled the 5 beep code and it indicated that my processor had gone bad. So I ordered the same processor. I bought a new case and installed everything, plugged everything in and double checked it all. Now I put my processor in and connected all the wires. The PC powers on fine but nothing shows up on my monitor and it sounds like my hard drive aren't reading or anything. I tried switching the IDE cables thinking that maybe I had them backwards but that didn't work so I switched them back. I tried disconnecting my SATA HDD and still got nothing. I tried inserting my Windows XP Pro CD into both my CD-R and DVD-R drives and still nothing.
I hate using my backup PC that is slower than Moses, someone please help me...

Check you have attached the Power connector for the CPU to the motherboard (typically a 4-pin square connector that goes in the top of the connector like this one:)

I have all the power connectors and everything to the mobo.
Everything powers up, all my fans work, my hard drives sound like they are reading now, CD-R opens, DVD-R opens, floppy reads, but nothing is showing up on my monitor. I may try a different video card and see what happens with that.

I tried another video card of the same type, since I had built 2 identical PCs.
But I still get nothing...
The only other thing I'm going to try is to switch out the mobo with the other one that I have and try that, if that doesn't work, I don't know what else to do...

I get the black screen when i attempt to use the mobo's in built graphics rather than the vga i have installed which to me suggests drivers are not installed or screen resolution is way out, have you tried using the mobo's graphic card (you may have to remove the graphic card your trying to use as if it's like mine it will override the onboard) other than that i can't help

Well the mobo that I have doesn't have in built graphics, which is why I got the Radeon 9800 Pro, I don't do much gaming if any anymore. I wanted something that would give me options for video editing and a TV tuner on my PC and various other options. Had my mobo came with in built graphics I'd have never bought one.
