"Reset Occurred" when burning Audio-CD

I've been trying to burn an audio-CD from MP3 ever since I got my new computer and keep getting the same error.
It locks up for a while mid-burn and then aborts with the error-message "Reset Occurred".
I've tried both with Maxell and Verbatim CD-media.
I tried replacing the DVD-Burner in case it was a DOA, but that made no difference.
I've tried lowering write-speed down to 8x, but no difference.
I tried to simulate the burn-operation, but that gives the same error.

Yes, this particular log is from a simulation.
I grew quite tired of wasting my media after 5 flyers so now I won't try burning for real again until the simulations work.
I will try shutting down daemon-tools when I get home from work, but it has never caused me any troubles on my old computer...
About DRM I don't think it's "Digital rights management" that the acronym is used for here but rather "Distributed Resource Manager" that is used for batch-works. :)

if you have a virtual drive you can make an iso image of your cd, and load to virtual drive for testing... if good burn image.
ok on your particular error,
if you havent changed cdrs lately AND you have tried different brand cdrs too and it still errors, update firmware for the drive and also update motherbaord ide drivers...
as you dont have any aspi drivers installed either, use clean tool / re-install nero
or update nero... nero uses its own aspi...
have you been inside your pc lately moving hardware?
also check your inner drive ide cable even swap it for testing

I followed your advice and uninstalled nero completely yesterday and installed the "Nero Essentials" that came with my DVD-Burner instead but with the same result. I also checked for new firmware but the current was up to date already. There was also no new ide-drivers for my MB.
What remains is aspi-drivers that are still not present when I check the current logs
BUT
If I did as you suggested and "burned" to my virtual drive and then burned the image, it works, so at least I have a feasible work-around.
I can't thank you enough for that idea :)
I think something is messed up with my XP and that I should probably reinstall since that is something I didn't do when I built my new computer... but I was too lazy to reconfigure everything again back then and I'm still too lazy to do it now. After all, nero is the only thing that has been causing problems so far. And as it seems, only audio-burning that I only rarely do.
Well, thanks again for the workaround :)

ok... the workaround worked ONCE...
So I guess it's not limited to audio-CDs...
I've yet to try with a DVD-R but I have no media at home atm.
I'm getting ready to do a complete reinstall of windows though...

from what you say my pc would of been erased already and reloaded, hate this sort of thing...
ok i have heard of a killaspi tool i would try this if it exists and then install the aspi layer either from adaptec or if still same use forceaspi and try that...
but to me still pionts to drivers or hardware (cables)
