Hey guys,

I just bought a new Trendnet TEW-452BRP wireless G router today. http://trendnet.com/langen/products/prod...-452BRP&cat=85.

As instructed, I used the "Easy GO CD" to setup, but , with the exception of a few times, it always goes "cannot find supported router" error.

I'm positive i've connected my ethernet cable in the right place, because right now, I'm posting this through the router. I just can't get into the setups (ie. the web interface) to setup the wireless network (I'm connected via wired right now).

Also, using the Network Magic software, it reports "no router detected", when in fact I am connected via the router.

Going into IPconfig, it says my IP + gateway is my ISP's , not the router.

Help appreciated, thxs.

But as i stated, I got it new. So shouldn't it be already in default settings?

try it anyhow as can't hurt. supposedly new doesn't mean it is new as could be a return or a refurb.

just tried it...unfortunately it didn't work (same error as before).

I've tried it both w/ the modem connected, And disconnected from the router, to no avail.

Will do,thanks!

Also,do you have any comment on Trendnet's products (and this wireless router)?

Eg. Should I exchange it, or refund it?

haven't dealt with treadnet before. make certain you exchange everything as in both software & hardware. the only time i had a problem with a setup was when a customer switched from wired to wireless router but did not change the the external power adapters. 1 was 5 volts & the wireless was 12 volts & the 5 volts wouldn't let me setup the wireless configuration. it was when i checked & saw that the 5 volt adapter was for d-link & the 12 volt was linksys & changed it to the linksys router that i was able to get into the setup.
