no jack plug socket for speakers on new psu unit help

hi i have just purchased a new psu unit for my sons packardbell imedia 5064 pc and there is no jackplug socket on the new unit so guys any help on how i can get the speakers to work?

Plug the speakers into your sound card. I am not familiar with any PSU (power supply unit) that has jacks for speakers.

No, none do. Can you clarify what you're on about? The speaker plugs will be where they always were, at the back of the motherboard.

the old psu unit had a jack plug socket to power the speakers the new psu unit does not have a jack plug socket

I'm afraid I've never seen such a device in my life - maybe contact Packard Bell regarding a traditional power plug for the speakers.

i know what you mean them packard bells the green pc where the speakers hook on to the screen yer its like a 12v plug on the psu to power the speakers i had one (my frist pc)well i just found this think you could use it

Yeah that's what I thought it would be like. As it happens I have worked on a PC with that unit in, but didn't ever really look at the back.

thanks mrcapdown,the logitech speakers they just plug into the mains and to the back of pc?

yer in to the mains and then the 3.5mm jack plug in to the green socket in the back of the pc
