Hi,
I recently formatted my PC have did a clean Win XP SP2 (5.1) installation. My problem in while burning DVD (DVD burner:Samsung Writemaster DVD RW) using NERO 7 i get this error message that says "Burning Process Failed at 8x.."
I have attached a NERO log message.

Would you please help me as i need a lot of back up to be done.

update nero v7 to latest

your dma is off for that drive (is it an external)

princo dvdrs are terrible dvdrs to use

use roxiozap tool to get rid of the conflicting driver.

Thankyou for the response.
As you mentioned earlier that the DMA for the following is off.

CdRomPeripheral : TSSTcorpCD/DVDW SH-S182DSB04 mv61xx Port 4 ID 4 DMA: Off

1. How do you turn in on. When I check it with the device manager it says for Primary and Secondary "DMA if available".

2. You said about something about codecs. Do i need to install all audio video codecs?

3.Yes all the ide drivers were installed after format
4.I have the latest Nero 7 version

Could you please give some more details.

1 uninstall the ide controller and reboot pc to see if dma is back on, there is a guide on here somewhere? but that it basically

2, yeah install k-lite mega codec pack

4, you dont its upto v7.10.?.?

you didnt say about burner? is it external if it is dont worry on dma for that! only hard drives

did you use roxioZAP tool?

Hi Rotary,
This DVD RW was working till yesterday before i formated + reinstalled everything. Now I kmow that Nero, Ashmpoo , VSO copytoDVD nothing sees to work. There must be something wrong with my configuration. Can you help me please.
