Nero Burning rom crashes pc

I was having this issue with nero 6 so i installed the latest version of nero and it still remains.

I am able to use nero burning express without any issues
Whenever i click on nero burning rom for version 8 or nero smartstart then on any of the create disc icons for version 6 it will freeze up and i will not be able to even kill it with task manager.
This causes windows explorer to crash as well when i attempt to use it, also no programs or documents to launch upon execution.
Only way to restore usage is to restart pc

I am running xp sp3 with nec dvdrw 3550a and liteon dvd
I have tried starting the pc and disabling all other programs, but problem still arrives.
any ideas this is starting to get quite annoying.

try uninstalling SP3

i uninstalled sp3 no go.. reinstalled sp3.. still same problem
I tried using it in safe mode and it worked flawlessly..
so what could be causing this conflict, i have already attempted loading windows regularly and then exiting every extra program out and still it happens

got any roxio apps loaded?

or any other packet writing software?

like nero InCD for 1

try running roxiozap tool

did you use the nero clean tool for v6? or just uninstall it?

use nero v8 clean tool after then reload nero
