Nero vision 5, audio but no video on preview.

Just got Nero 8,
And was looking forward to burning some of my movies to dvd,
But of course, nothing works first time.

I have an .avi file that I would like to burn, and then watch of my dvd player.

I open Nero Vision 5, go through all the steps up to the preview part,
I hit the play button on the remote, and I get sound, but no video!
Gah I hate technology sometimes.

anyone know why this is happening?

did you install the xvid codec or divx codec?

Maybe.
How would I check?

I've got both codecs, this AVI is Xvid.

So the codecs are installed on my computer,
But do I need too add them to Nero or something?

no its just there for apps to use it...

Yea ok,
The codec is there.
But still isn't working!

Plays fine in Windows Media Player.
Not in Quicktime though.
And no preview in Nero Vision still!
