i have my 40gb ps2 harddrive in my computer right now. basically all that is on it is about 15 gbs of music. i plan to order hd loader and put my newly made custom guitar hero iso onto the drive. i am fairly new to this so i needed some advice. when i put the drive in my computer i installed it through a wizard that came up so i do not think it would work in my ps2 if i were to take it out and put it back in right now. i read somewhere i need to format it with winhiip? this supposedly restores it to operational status. please correct me if im wrong... also i need to move all my music somewhere so i want to put it on my portable storage partition on my ipod. if i do this will everything show up twice? when i plug in my ipod will everything come off? now im getting irrelevant so ill just stop.

Yes you can use WinHiip to format the PS2 and transfer your PS2 backups to it.
Once this is done you will no longer see the PS2 drive in Windows XP, but will see it through WinHiip 1.7.6

As for transferring the 15GB of music to your Ipod. I think it depends how you are transferring it too the Ipod if the songs will show up twice.

I think if the song is already on the Ipod it won't copy it again if using the auto sync.
I could be wrong and you could post your question in the Ipod section if you wish.
