I've just bought a 64mb Max Memory card. Going into the browser it showed a few games from the person who sold it and 58,000KB free so there including the saves it's a 64 MB card.

Tried the MCKiller elf alone on a usb pen and it said formatting failed. them I went to sksapps o get the full iso. I extracted the whole iso onto my usb pen then ran the elf from there.

Card was formatted this time but now in the browser is states there is 129,961 KB free?! Thats a 130MB card it should be 64MB. Any idead why this has happened?

Also when you start the elf it says "Press Start to Begin", I press Start but the sign keeps on flashing then about 30 seconds later it says "Formatting Complete" is ths how it shoul work.

No-one know of a reason for this then?

I'm just wondering have the makers of MCKiller made it so that the formatter actually compresses the memory card which allows double the data on the card? Or has something just messed up with my card?

The card seems to be working fine, i've saved a San Andreas game onto it and also loaded the game as well.

It's no factory error. I bought it second-hand, the PS2 browser showed it was a 64MB card. Then I formatted it using MCKiller and now all of a sudden double memory.

Thing is I dont have that many saves to cant test if it will actually hold more than 64MB, it might end up holding the normal 64MB but say it still has another 64MB left when you cant save anything else.

I'm just asking because I dont want my card becoming corrupt or worse.

That elf has caused this same thing to happen to others. It has also reduced the MC to 16 MB. It has also doubled some 8MB MC.
MCKILLER.ELF is funny. You should be ok and if you want it back to normal, AR MAX should be able to that.
