DSTT firmware version for loading error?

Just joined the site, very informative. I havethe DSTT cards w/2gb mini's. Loaded the Kernal TTMENU version1.1 for the ROM loading issue. Is this the latest firmware? And also what is causing the "loading" status error? Is it because of shutting off power before a game creates the .SAV file like I've read? Is there a known root cause for games to work one day and not the next? I've read through past forums and didn't see a root cause. Thanks
